My favorite costume was when I dressed up as a Jack-in-the-box when I was about 18. Suspenders held up my box and my arms had slinkkys on them - So fun!
I've been coveting your stuff on Etsy - You've got talent!
That's easy! My mom is a wonderful seamstress and she made me a wedding dress for Halloween when I was 8. My daughter just wore it last year (age 8) and it was just as beautiful years later! Veil and all!!!

My favorite costume was my 50s poodle skirt. It was a blue skirt with a record with music notes on it. My mom made it for me and she made my sister one that was pink w/ a poodle. I love dressing up for Halloween. This year I am going to be a cop.
My favorite costume was a princess one my Grandmom made me when I was 7 or 8. Every other year I had the kind you mentioned though the only one I really remember was Strawberry Shortcake. My princess costume was amazing: a red silky dress with a white 'fur' cape that had 'diamonds' along the edges. She even made me shoes! I wore that thing for YEARS and still have the brooch in my jewelry box.
My favorite costume was of me dressed up as a gypsy. I had on big hoop clips-ons, rouge (that's what we called it back in the bi-cenntial year), and an off the shoulder shirt. I was only 6. I think the whole idea was based on the shirt I had already.
I am so very proud that when I was around eight years old I wore one of those plastic costumes too, and it was a gremlin. Yes, I am a child of the eighties!
When I was 10 I made a costume of a washing machine! The front door opened up to the treats bag, it was made out of a big cardboard box. I was so proud of it. Then I was naughty and got grounded for Halloween... and couldn't wear the costume :(

a witch :) but some might say it was when i dressed as half man half woman for a school halloween thing in middle school!
Hm.. let me recall my favorite. *thinkthinkthink* My favorite was probably when I dressed as a football player, I used my brother's uniform - INCLUDING shoulder pads, hehe. Other guys from the team dressed as cheerleaders.. funny times! :)
It was actually a year when we didn't have much money, so my mom got creative. She tied a blanket around my neck, and crafted a crown out of construction paper, putting cheap sequins and sparkly beads all over it. It truly made me feel like a princess. (I think that's where my crafting obsession started too!)
my favorite costume was when i was dressed as madonna in her 80s style! That was super fun!
favorite costume was a teddybear- easy and warm when I lived upp north
My favorite costume was one of a Witch, that I made.

Hi, Thanks for a wonderful contest!
When I was in the third grade, I was in a school play. My role was being a
"Rosebud!" Someone made me this great costume out of pink and green crepe paper. I even had a little stem cap! I wore it for Halloween. Good thing it didn't rain that night! Thanks, Cindi

I was a nurse! We made the uniforms ourselves with syringes & all. It was good fun though! :)

One year I begged and begged for this butterfly costume. It was so expensive but my mom found a way to get it for me. I felt like a princess.

Back in the 80's I was Madonna! EWWW, but at the time I thought it was the greatest thing, I guess it would be like being Hannah Montana for a girl this Halloween.
My favorite was a black cat while going to a club with friends. I think it was the one I liked the best because I was slim and trim back then :)
Well, we don't celebrate Halloween in Belgium but 4 years ago (when we moved to the US) my dad had a Halloween party at his house and we all got dressed up with family and friends (which was the first for most of us). I was dressed like this giant blow-up pumpkin, I could hardly fit in the door or sit down later to eat. It was hilarious!!
Thanks for the great giveaway!

My favorite costume is myself. Just kidding. But a few years ago when I was doing figure skating, I decided to wear my entire dress+tights+skates and walked around with my skating friends.
Well....lol for Halloween I was always a Witch! So, I guess I have pretty much no choice. Oh wait! :) I WAS Punky Brewster one time!! ;) That was cool! Love the eyeglass case!
I have a Daughter of Darkness costume that I LOVE. The sleeves are long & flowing and it's just a great costume!

I don't remember dressing up for halloween as a kid but as an adult I've dressed up as a pumpkin. I wore a pumpkin garbage bag and stuffed it with paper.
